Houses catch fire minutes apart in north Toledo overnight

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Toledo Fire Department is investigating after two houses caught on fire on the same street, just minutes apart in north Toledo early Saturday morning.

The first fire happened at a vacant house on the corner of North Ontario and Buckeye around 1:30 AM.

The fire chief says there was forced entry in the back of the house where the fire started.

That fire was quickly contained.

Minutes later, a vacant house down the street on north Ontario caught on fire.

That fire was also quickly put out.

There were no injuries in either fire.

Both fires are being treated as suspicious.
