The Washington Post reported the NFL is in the process of toughening up the league's domestic violence policy. The league did not have a specific domestic violence policy in place, but after the incident with Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his now wife (then fiancée), the league is stepping up and making more of an effort to prevent it.
The league wants to move quickly implementing the changes and announcing them as early as next month. The NFL is seeking outside groups to rearrange their current policy which will probably be included in the personal conduct section. They are focused on injecting education about domestic violence, training, assistance and enhanced discipline.
