I-475 road project in Maumee and Perrysburg put on hold

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A representative from the Ohio Department of Transportation says the plan to shut down one lane of traffic in both northbound and southbound I-475 was delayed.

The delay occurred because of weather but ODOT is looking to get this done as soon as possible.

ODOT Public Information Officer Theresa Pollick says I-475 between US 24 and State Route 25 has already been resurfaced but the bridges still need done.

"We've had a lot of pot holes on those bridges," said Pollick. "So what we are doing right now is maintaining those bridge decks and making the necessary improvements."

The work will be rescheduled and plans are still in place to shut down one lane northbound and southbound over the weekend.

The project will take more than one weekend closure to get done, although no word yet on how many weekends it will take.
