Bank manager sets up video camera in employee restroom

MT. PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -

A Chemical Bank employee found a camera in the employees' only bathroom and called police.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to the Pickard Street bank on Aug. 14 for a complaint of a manager videotaping employees in the employees' only restroom.

The camera was located in a toilet paper roll propped up behind the bathroom stall, police said.

The employee brought the camera to the attention of the manager, David Prawdzik, 55, and he attempted to destroy it and left the business, police said.

Prawdzik, of Clare, admitted to officers he placed the camera in the restroom. He confessed to videotaping the employees while in the restroom for the past couple of weeks, police said.

Prawdzik was taken into custody and is lodged at the Isabella County Jail.

Prawdzik has been charged with capturing/distributing image of unclothed person, tampering with evidence, surveilling unclothed person, eavesdropping and using a computer to commit a crime.

He was placed on a $50,000 bond and his arraignment date is set for Aug. 21.
