Jordan Strack takes the 'Ice Bucket Challenge' for ALS

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The "Ice Bucket Challenge" is sweeping the country.

Social media has been full of people pouring ice-cold buckets of water on their heads to raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

On Thursday, Jordan Strack from T Sports took the challenge! Ashley James and T Sports newcomer Jason Hurst got the pleasure of dumping the icy water over Jordan's head.

In addition to raising awareness, the goal of the challenge is to have people donate money for ALS research, and it seems to be working. According to the ALS website, between July 29  and August 12, The ALS Association and its 38 chapters received $4 million in donations, compared to $1.12 million during the same time period last year.

Jordan challenged University of Toledo Head Football Coach, Matt Campbell, Mud Hens Hitting Coach Leon "Bull" Durham, Toledo News Nows' own Ryan Wichman, and, of course, Chrys Peterson.
