Man pleads guilty to killing roommate

Phillip Hamm Phillip Hamm
UNION TOWNSHIP, CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) – -

A man who admitted to killing his roommate during a 911 call pleaded guilty to her murder in a Clermont County court on Thursday.

Phillip Hamm, 21, told dispatchers that he and his female roommate, Meagan Fambry, had been arguing on the morning of February 15 following a night of partying and drinking. Hamm said he lost control and strangled Fambry to death.

"I honestly lost my mind and I went off and I choked her," Hamm said during the 911 call. "And I killed her. And it probably happened a few hours ago and ... I don't know what happened to myself. I really don't."

"I attacked her," Hamm said. "I, like, choked her. I threw her down and was choking her. ... I would have called sooner but ... I honestly don't know what was going on in my mind. ... It's not who I am.

Hamm had previously pleaded not guilty and was held on a $500,000 bond.
