Kentucky tobacco plants used for experimental Ebola drug

Tobacco plants grown in Kentucky are being used in an experimental medication for patients of the deadly Ebola virus.

Kentucky Bioprocessing, located in Owensboro, manufactures Bluegrass State-grown tobacco that is eventually processed into the ZMapp serum. The tobacco contains antibodies that could potentially treat the Ebola, reports say.

ZMapp serum is an experimental drug that has already been used on two American doctors who were infected with the virus while in West Africa.

Despite the drug having never been clinically tested in humans, the World Health Organization has deemed its use 'ethically sound' even if the drug's power and side effects are unknown. ZMapp is reportedly being sent to West Africa where the virus has killed more than 1,000 – the worst Ebola outbreak in history, according to WHO.

#IfTheyGunnedMeDown challenges media stereotypes

The shooting of an unarmed African American teenager in St. Louis has spawned a hashtag effort against stereotypes.

#IfTheyGunnedMeDown is trending on twitter and criticizing certain media portrayals of Michael Brown, who was allegedly shot by a police officer last week in what officials called a "police altercation."

The hashtag questions the way the media depicted Brown after some outlets reportedly chose a photo of him at his high school graduation, while others used a photo of Brown throwing up what has been called a "gang sign."

African American men are posting contrasting photos side by side on Twitter, using the hashtag to ask which one the media would use to seemingly sensationalize a story.

Daniel Radcliffe hates "The Half Blood Prince"

Daniel Radcliffe, who famously portrayed Harry Potter in the eight films, says he ‘hated' one of the movies.

Turns out his hatred has nothing to do with the actual movie or cast.

'It's hard to watch a film like Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince, because I'm just not very good in it. I hate it," Radcliffe told the Daily Mail.

He went on to admit he thinks he's not a very good actor and became his own worst critic when playing the role of Harry for ten years.

Daniel's probably the only person who took issue with his performance as the Harry Potter series remains the highest grossing film franchise of all time.
