Bay High head coach Jeff Hopgood wants his Tigers to improve on last seasons 4 wins and 6 defeats, 2 and 3 in the Division 8-4A ranks. He says Bay High has enough talent to make some noise this season.
Hopgood said,"We have seven starters back and seven on defense." He added,"We were a young team last year but it seemed like we got better each week and we improved and gained experience and that's invaluable in high school football."
Larnell Lewis returns at running back for his senior season. In 2013 Lewis piled up 825 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. He netted 6-point-2 yards per carry.
Lewis said," I guess I'm pretty big, have great vision and I have a great line to run behind."
Hopgood added,"He's a leader in the weight room, on and off the field. We're expecting big things from Larnel Lewis this year."@
Wes Seymour takes over the starting role at quarterback. Seymour played in 4 games as a junior last season and brings something crucial to the team.
"Leadership...that's something we haven't had and I expect to bring it,"stated Seymour.
Chase Barbay returns on the defensive front line for the Tigers after making 40 tackles in 8 games in 2013.
Skylar Bush gives Bay High a one-two punch on the defensive front line, ready to cause havoc in the trenches.
