PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -  The Paducah, Kentucky Police Department is using a high-tech training device to prepare it's officers for dangerous situations.

The system is called the MILO Range Training System.

It places police officers in front of a life-size screen that displays scenario's that police are asked to respond to.

Officers are also given electronically modified firearms, tasers, and even mace, that is to be used depending on the scenario.

MILO has 500 possible scenario's that police can respond to.
Officer Scotty Davis of the Paducah Police Department says this is the type of training every department needs.

"Anytime that I’m in a critical incident, I always revert back to my training," Davis said. "And I always think when scene is done, I thank god that I work at a department where we have the training that we do.”

Officers from Paducah will train on this system through August 11.
