Water Crisis: Closures

Daycare Closures:
  • Braden Learning Center at 4725 Dorr Street is closed Monday
  • The Gathering Place in Perrysburg is closed tomorrow
  • Kindercare Maumee closed tomorrow
  • KinderCare in Perrysburg is closed until ban is lifted
  • Prescribed Pediatric Center closed on Monday
  • Judah's Family Care Center closed until ban is lifted
  • Sylvania Communities Services Summer Camp and Woodrow Preschool closed Monday
  • A Promising Tomorrow Child Care will be closed Monday
  • Happiness Is Daycare Center in Point Place will be closed Monday
  • Lighthouse Child Care on Alexis Rd. will be closed Monday
TPS:
Given the continuing water advisory in the City of Toledo, TPS leaders have decided to take the following precautionary steps for Monday, August 4th:
 
* All student activities, including athletic practices and the summer feeding program, have been canceled. 
* All students enrolled in Adult Education classes are expected to report for classes.
* All employees who are scheduled to work tomorrow, Monday, August 4th, are expected to report at their regularly scheduled time. 
 
District officials will continue to monitor the situation and will release updates  to the community as needed. 

Dr. Romules Durant, Superintendent for Toledo Public Schools, plans to be  Waite High School again this evening at 7:30 p.m. and will be available for interviews. 

Hospitals:
  • All elective, non-emergency is canceled for Monday at Promedica hospitals. All hospitals open and ready to perform emergency procedures. 
  • The UT Medical Center remains open. UTMC's outpatient clinics will operate on their regular schedules. The dental clinic will be closed Monday.
  • Northwest Ohio Endoscopy Center - procedures canceled

Miscellaneous:

  • The University of Toledo resumed normal operations Sunday at 6 p.m. Food operations up and running on both campuses.
  • Terminus Inc: BBQ/Meet and Greet canceled for Monday
  • FDCA summer respite day camp canceled for Monday
  • Rossford Youth Summer Theater rehearsal will be canceled on Monday
