MCCOMB, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Five fire departments were on the scene of a church fire in the village of McComb, Ohio Friday night.

The United Methodist Church on High Street in McComb caught fire Friday evening. Several streets in the area were blocked off.

A fire chief on the scene say the fire may have started in the sanctuary of the church, were some remodeling work was being done. He says extensive repairs will be necessary after the fire, but the building will be salvaged.

Pastor Tom Bolton says their Sunday service will be held at the McComb High School cafeteria.

"That's our building," Bolton said. "The church is the people, and we'll be alright."
