CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A trip to the hospital can be overwhelming for any family, but especially when it's a trip for your child.

Emotions are high and there is a lot to navigate at the Children's Hospital.

To help, Cincinnati Children's Hospital has launched a phone app to help alleviate some of the stress.

The app will provide step by step directions around the hospital, as well as identify where all of the extra hospital services are located.

So if you're looking for the cafeteria, family lounges, bathrooms, or playgrounds, the app will help to get you there.

It can even help you with things outside of the hospital, like hotel amenities, restaurants where you can dine in or get delivery, and other local attractions.

The app will also house information about the clinicians at the hospital that are treating your child, and you can access a secure link to your child's appointments, lab results, and other medical information.

For more information about the app, check it out in itunes.
