The Fremont Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted an OVI checkpoint at Rawson Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to midnight. Of the 389 vehicles to pass through, 11 were pulled aside for further investigation.  Three people were arrested for OVI.

After the checkpoint, troopers spread throughout Sandusky County. From 6 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday, troopers made 54 traffic stops and arrested seven more people for OVI.
