A Northern Kentucky bank robbery suspect was arrested Thursday after police said he was found hiding inside of his home.

Bryan Russell, 30, was arrested in connection to a reported robbery Wednesday afternoon at Chase Bank on Riviera Drive in Bellevue.

Police said Russell was recognized from a welfare check at his home a few months prior and obtained a search warrant to search his home. Evidence from the robbery was found inside.

On Thursday, officers received a tip that Russell was at his residence. Newport and Bellevue police responded to the house, where he was found inside.

Russell was taken into custody and charged with second degree robbery. Police said he also had an active felony warrant at the time.

He is being held at the Campbell County Detention Center.
