WOODSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (Toledo News Now) -

Two days after man's body was found in his Lenawee County home, the sheriff's office has arrested and charged his roommate with the murder.

Deputies say they found the body of 66-year-old Larry Smith in his home on Silver Lake Highway in Woodstock Township at about 7:30 Sunday night.

Michael Thorn Anderson, 56, was arrested for Smith's murder on Tuesday. Police say Anderson was living with Smith, but both were due in court on Wednesday because Smith was trying to get Anderson out of the home.

Deputies say the sheriff's office has been holding Anderson for questioning since Monday. Thorn was charged with murder on Tuesday and is being held without bond by Lenawee County District Court Judge James Sheridan. Sheridan entered a not guilty plea for Anderson.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 4.
