Call 11 for Action: Potholes filled on north Toledo street after call to city

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - One north Toledo neighborhood has had to deal with a huge pothole for quite some time now, but after one resident reached out to us, we checked it out and got results.

The pothole on Dixie Drive near Manhattan is more like a crater.  Neighbors say this pothole has been here like this for over a year, making it very challenging turning onto and off of Dixie Drive.

"It's very horrible to turn down that street," said Dixie Drive resident Krista Christ. "We try not to, 'cause we don't want to mess our cars up, but it's pretty bad."

There's some very good news in all this.  About a half hour after WTOL contacted Toledo's Streets, Bridges and Harbors Department, the city had a crew on location filling the massive pothole.

And that's not all - crew members filled every pothole up and down Dixie Drive.

"It makes me happy that they're fixing them," says Christ.
