The former band director at Lakewood High School appeared in a Cleveland courtroom today on two counts of sexual battery.

Nathan Harris was arrested in the Metroparks last month.

A ranger in the Rocky River Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks saw two people in the back of a car about 10:45 p.m.

"Two subjects were inside that vehicle. A 27-year-old male and a 16-year-old male engaged in sexual conduct. Officers decided to investigate further," said Capt. Jack Hall.

Rangers arrested Harris.

The judge continued the original bond of $40,000. Harris is out of jail.

No new court date has been set.
