OVER-THE-RHINE (FOX19) -

Guy Fieri, host of the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives," parked his red Camaro outside Taste of Belgium Wednesday afternoon in Over-the-Rhine.

Fieri and a production crew filmed at both Jean-Francois Flechet's popular Belgium waffle restaurant and Bakersfield OTR.

Now the official waffle of the Cincinnati Reds, Taste of Belgium has become a local favorite with locations in the Gateway Quarter, Findlay Market and Short Vine in Clifton.

Brothers John and Joe Lanni, along with partner Alex Blust, own Bakersfield OTR in the Gateway Quarter. Bakersfield features Mexican-inspired street fare with a focus on tacos, tequilas and whiskeys. The three partners also own The Eagle OTR just two blocks north.

The show is based on a road trip concept with Fieri traveling around North America checking out various diners, drive-in restaurants and drive bars.

On Tuesday, Fieri posted about his visit to the Queen City on Twitter: "Headed to Cincinnati to find some #DDD spots I know ur gonna dig!"

Bakersfield OTR posted on Facebook, "We're closed for lunch today, folks! Open at 6pm for shenanigans and margaritas."

"Our OTR location will be closed all day today. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will re-open tomorrow at 5pm for happy hour," Taste of Belgium also wrote on its Facebook page.

Fieri previously visited Cincinnati in 2010 for the same series and featured Terry's Turf Club in Linwood, Virgil's Cafe in Bellevue, Ky. and Blue Ash Chili.
