What to bring downtown for fireworks

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Final preparations are being made for tonight's fireworks show – Red, White, KABOOM! – in downtown Toledo.

Organizers are expecting about 100,000 people downtown for the show, and they say the biggest rush is around 8 p.m. The fireworks start at dusk.

There are a few things spectators can bring with them when they head downtown for the fireworks, including blankets and chairs. Organizers do ask, however, that no one bring food or drinks, including alcohol.

"We're going to allow blankets and folding chairs," said event director Mike Mori. "The grass is a little bit thin up in the top area of the park, so you may want to bring a blanket or one of those chairs in a bag."

There will be food and drinks served in Promenade Park, and live music leading up to the show.
