Restaurant Ratings: Double digit violations at many locations

Expired food and raw chicken left sitting out are just two violations on a long list for one local sports bar in this week's Restaurant Ratings Report.

(Toledo News Now) - Expired food and raw chicken left sitting out are justtwo violations on a long list for one local sports bar in this week's RestaurantRatings Report.

Ralphie's on Navarre Avenue in Oregon had 16 violationsduring an inspection on June 24. Aside from the expired food and raw chicken,they had food marked with the wrong expiration dates and food kept at unsafetemperatures.

Also on Navarre, Freeway Drive In had nine violations onJune 19. Eggs, ham and cheese were all being stored at unsafe temperatures, andinspectors found expired ham.

The OK Wok, still on Navarre in Oregon, had 18violations. Following the pattern, rice and egg rolls were stored at unsafetemperatures. Food was also being stored on the floor of the walk-in cooler.

Valleywood Golf Club on Airport Highway in Swanton had 11infractions on June 13, including improper cooling of beef roasts, improperstorage temperatures and improper holding temperatures for hot dogs and brats.

The Pizza Hut on Glendale was violation-free during avisit on June 23, but Blue Agave on South Reynolds had nine violations. Raweggs were stored above ready-to-eat food, and drink mixes were left out at roomtemperature when they should have been refrigerated. A health inspector saysthis is a repeat violation.
