Woman arrested after allegedly throwing kittens out of car in Christian Co.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (WSMV) -

A woman was arrested after allegedly throwing a bag of kittens out of a moving car in Christian County.

Witnesses say they saw 48-year-old Jennifer Fowler of Fairview throwing a bag out of a vehicle on Russellville Road on Monday afternoon.

According to the arrest warrant, someone who was driving behind Fowler stopped to see what was in the bag and found the kittens inside.

Fowler was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and charged with torture of a dog or cat. She was taken to the Christian County Jail and is being held on a $5,000 bond.

There is no word on the status of the kittens at this time.
