Perrysburg siblings' prom outfits could win them $10,000

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A pair of Perrysburg siblings is up for a $10,000 college scholarship, all because of what they wore to prom.

Nathanial Dobbs and his sister Kathryn, both of Perrysburg, went to Nathanial's prom together wearing outfits made of duct tape. The effort is an entry into Duck brand's "Stuck at Prom" contest.

Nathanial and Kathryn have made it to the top 10 of the contest, and need your votes to win the scholarship. They say it took them about 93 hours to make the outfits.

"We had no idea what we were going to do, we really didn't, until we got to the store, and then it just hit us. We were going to do the four elements theme: water, earth, fire and air," said Nathanial Dobbs.

"I go to Bowling Green, and that's where he's going next year, so it was pretty easy to just come on home. Besides, he's my brother, I'd do like anything for him," said Kathryn Dobbs.
