Police: Woman arrested after threatening mall employee with box cutter

A woman caused a big scare at the Opry Mills Forever 21 store when police say she pulled a box cutter on an employee.

The employee says she noticed a shopper put a bundle of clothes underneath her child's diaper bag and went up to see if the woman needed a shopping bag.

That's when police say the shopper, Terrineka Young, told the employee that she was going to leave the store and that if she tried stopping her she would cut her.

Police say Young pulled out a box cutter and started walking out of the mall.

The employee followed Young outside and police say Young threw the stolen clothes at the employee, who had already called mall security.

Young was arrested and is facing charges of theft and aggravated assault.

Police say Young had stolen from the store before. Her criminal record shows she was charged in two other theft cases in the past year.
