TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Thursday June 5 was a day to celebrate for many high school students around the city of Toledo because several schools held their graduation ceremonies.

Excitement was certainly in the air at Scott High School on graduation day. The superintendent of Toledo Public Schools spoke to the students. Scott High School is one of four high schools in Toledo that graduated students Thursday.

"It just really is a dream for me to get this diploma and go to the next stage of my life," said one graduate.

That's how many students are feeling as they wear their cap and gowns walking into their future. Others are just relieved.

"I'm just excited it's over. It's finally over," said a student.

"The four years itself was long, it was long but it was fast. It's a relief to know that it's over. We finally made it," said another student.

The graduation celebration at Scott brought out Toledo's top school officials and it also brought tears.

"It's bittersweet because I love the school. I'm happy to know that I'm going on to the next stage of my life. Ready to get that started," said a student.

In addition to Scott, Bowsher, Start, and Rogers High School all celebrated graduation ceremonies Thursday. Two other Toledo high schools had their ceremony on Wednesday while two others will graduate their students on Friday.

"Just glad to be here to be making it class of 2014," said a student.

To the class of 2014, congratulations and good luck.
