If you haven’t already purchased your tickets to Brazil for the World Cup by now, chances are you won’t be joining the rest of the football-loving world (ahem, soccer for us stateside) as it descends into South America for this giant sports tournament. Google is giving us the next best thing by adding 12 World Cup stadiums in Google Maps Street View. Not only can you check out high-res panoramic imagery of the venues, you can also view the iconic painted streets – a Brazilian World Cup tradition – and hundreds of new images of interesting landmarks and locales across Brazil.

For those who are heading to Brazil for the tournament, you can use Google Maps on your mobile device to look up transit information for the 12 host cities. You can also use Maps to find your way inside each of the stadiums, so you can find the nearest restroom or the quickest exit should things get rowdy; you can even use Maps to your way around airports and shopping malls. Google Maps also has turn-by-turn directions for Brazil, including Waze traffic information, which lowers your chances of getting lost, even if you’ve consumed too much Cachaça.
