DAVENPORT, IA (RNN) – A miraculous moment was caught on camera when the father of a Quad-Cities River Bandit baseball player caught his son's first home run of the season.
The video shows a joyous Marty Gregor celebrating after catching the ball hit by his son, Conrad Gregor. Conrad Gregor plays both first base and in the outfield for the Bandits.
After the catch, Marty Gregor threw his hands in the air in what can be described as a "that's my boy" moment.
"He may have to watch every game from out there," Conrad Gregor said to the Quad-City Times. "It's a little unbelievable, but I'm glad my parents were here to see it and when I got back to the dugout, I heard he made a pretty good catch."
Conrad Gregor's parents drove from Indiana to watch the game in Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, part of the Quad-Cities.
The home run helped the River Bandits win the game 5-2 over the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
