MT. BLANCHARD, OH (Toledo News Now) - The fate of a Riverdale teacher accused of getting toophysical with a kindergarten student is now in the hands of the Mt. Blanchard Prosecutor.

The Mt. Blanchard municipal prosecutor works out of aprivate law office. An employee of that office confirmed the office has had thecase since last week.

No charges have been filed, but employees say the law firmhandles misdemeanor cases.

Toledo News Now first showed video of the incident lastweek. Surveillance video showed a teacher grabbing a young boy by the shirt, then lifting him up by the head after he came out of the bathroom.

The teacher was later identified as Barb Williams. Williamswas suspended without pay by the district for 10 days after the video aired onWTOL and FOX Toledo.

The boy's parents are upset with the district's reaction tothe incident, and say the suspension does not go far enough.

"A ten day suspension is a slap on the hand and prettymuch letting every teacher out there believe that this is okay," Anthonyand Autumn Nelson said in a statement Friday, May 16.

The Nelsons say they hope charges will be filed againstWilliams soon.
