An animal abuse investigation in Huntingburg is in the hands of the Dubois County Prosecutor's Office.

Last month, police seized 37 dogs from a home on Washington Street.

The woman who owns the dogs, 66-year-old Mary Burch, recently did an interview saying the living conditions were acceptable and that the dogs simply needed to be groomed.

Friday, the Dubois County Humane Society released new photos documenting the conditions the dogs were living in.

Originally nine dogs were found dead in the home.

The humane society says a tenth dog has since passed away as a result of its living conditions.
