Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel, Cleveland's two first-round draft choices, addressed the media Friday from the Dino Lucarelli Media Center in Berea.

Both players talked about how lucky they are to be playing football and playing for the Browns in the NFL.

"I'm blessed to be here. Whether I was picked first or last, I just want to play football," Johnny Manziel said.

"It's a blessing to be in Cleveland with Johnny Manziel -- I'm looking forward to playing with him," stated Justin Gilbert.

When asked about starting as QB Johnny replied, "I have high goals, but no expectations going into this. You can measure height, but you cannot measure heart."

Will all the fanfare that comes with Johnny Football -- will it distract them from the game?

"I'm used to the spotlight, my past has prepared me for today," said Johnny Manziel. "I live for the bright lights and big stage."

"I was excited when I heard we drafted Manziel," added Justin Gilbert.

Draft Picks Background

  1. The Browns first draft pick of the night, which came in at #8, was CB Justin Gilbert from Oklahoma State.

Gilbert owns the OSU record and Big 12 record with six career kickoff returns for touchdowns and is second all-time at OSU and in the Big 12 Conference's top 10 with 2,681 kickoff return yards. During his senior year, Gilbert earned honors as Defensive MVP in the 2012 Fiesta Bowl.

The 22-year-old was born in Woodlands, TX.

2. Johnny Manziel, also known as Johnny Football, was the Browns 22nd pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The 6'1", 210 lb. 21-year old hails from Kerrville, TX.

The widely popular Manziel won the Heisman Trophy his freshman year at Texas A&M. That year he set numerous NCAA records by passing for over 3,000 yards and rushing for over 1,000. He helped lead the Aggies to an 11-2 first season in the SEC and the Aggies highest final season ranking in decades.

Round Two of the NFL Draft begins at 7 p.m. tonight.
