BREAKING

Boil advisory in effect for portion of Holland-Sylvania Road in Sylvania Twp.

SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Due to an emergency water main repair, the Lucas County Sanitary Engineer says water customers along Holland-Sylvania Road from Central Avenue north to Goodhue Drive will be impacted by a water shutoff to isolate the water system. This also includes rerouting of the traffic on northbound Holland-Sylvania.

As a precaution, customers are advised to boil water intended for consumption for a least one minute. This advisory is being issued as a precaution only and is intended to be in effect through May 5 or until further notice.

This will provide ample time for the results of testing to determine that the water is safe to consume, following the water main repair.

Anyone with questions can call the sanitary engineer's office at 419-213-2926.
