Bond set for man accused in Friday's downtown Toledo shooting

A man accused of a shooting in downtown Toledo last week appeared in court Monday morning. His bond was set at $500,000.
Houston Hart was arraigned Monday morning.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A man accused of a shooting in downtown Toledo last week appeared in court Monday morning.

Police say Houston Hart shot Louis Barton three times outside St. Paul's Community Center near the intersection of 13th and Jefferson streets on Friday.

An eye witness says the pair got into an argument outside the community center. Then Hart went to his car and grabbed a gun out of the trunk. When he returned, he shot Barton three times. He then fled the scene.

Within an hour of the shooting, police arrested Hart.

Barton is expected to survive. 
   
Hart has been charged with felonious assault and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

He is expected to return to court on Tuesday.
