WTOL News at 5, FOX Toledo News at 10 win Emmy awards

WTOL 11 and FOX Toledo have each been honored with a regional Emmy Award.

WTOL 11 News at 5 was named best Morning/Daytime Newscast. FOX Toledo News at 10 won for best Evening Newscast.

WTOL was also recently honored with 2 prestigious Edward R. Murrow awards for excellence in journalism.

    More than 170 pooled mosquitoes samples have tested positive for West Nile virus so far this season, according to the Toledo Area Sanitary District. 

    In the most recent results the district received from the Ohio Department of Health, almost half of the pooled samples submitted for testing had some level of the virus.
