TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A group of angry parents want the superintendent of Tiffin City Schools removed from her position and have started circulating a petition.

Superintendent Vicki Wheatley has been in her position since January of this year, but some parents already want her gone.

Parents had the chance to speak their minds Tuesday night at a school board meeting at the middle school.

Susan Smith, the woman who started the petition, says along with other parents, Wheatley's current and past actions reflect negatively on the district. They also question her ethics and leadership capabilities.

There were accusations made against Wheatley that she circulated negative documents at a meeting on March 11. Wheatley denied those accusations. The board investigated and no action was taken.

This petition, which was started on April 19, has three parts:

- If you sign the petition, you first agree to the immediate removal of Wheatley as superintendent or her contract not being renewed.
- Secondly, you agree to not vote for school board members who are in support of Wheatley staying on as superintendent.
- Thirdly, you agree to vote for the upcoming May 6 levy.

The petition already has almost 250 signatures.

"I call to question in the preamble of the petition, her possible unethical behavior and so does the community," said Smith. "How do we expect our children to know right from wrong when our administrators don't? How can we teach integrity when we have administrators who aren't transparent in their means?"

After the board meeting, superintendent Wheatley declined to comment.

Board President Shirley Smith said the board is not taking this lightly and will look at everything as it comes to them.

After double overtime, the Toledo Walleye came out on top and beat the Indy 3-2 Thursday night for a sweep in the series. Even though the fish had a 3-0 lead in the first round playoff series, the toughest thing to do in hockey is to beat a desperate team on their home ice.  Halfway through a second overtime Kyle Bonis sets up Christian Hillbrich to score the game winning goal.  The Walleye now advances to the second round. They will play the winner of the Fort Wayne and ...
