Restaurant Ratings Report: Ants found under ice machine

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Brownstone Tavern along West Alexis Road racked up ten violations in this week's Restaurant Ratings Report. Inspectors say there are ants in the facility under the dish machine.

During the visit, the health department also found foods being held at unsafe temperatures, a pan of roast beef sitting directly on the floor and inadequate cleaning.

Seven violations were issued at Little Caesar's Pizza on Monroe Street. Inspectors say the facility must replace its door gasket on a walk-in cooler because it's torn. This has been a violation on its past seven inspection reports.  Other violations included cracked food containers, as well as build up on the outside of other containers.

Taco Bell on Airport Highway in Toledo is clean and safe with zero violations on its latest report.

An ice cream treat may be what you need to round out the day at the Dairy Queen on West Alexis Road. It too is in great standing with the health department; no violations.

Six violations were found at the Alexandria Diner on Monroe Street. They include build up on the walk-in freezer door, no date labels on hummus, cut lettuce and rice and six boxes of food were found stored on the floor.

J-Cups Pizza on West Alexis Road is ready to serve some pie. No violations were noted during its most recent inspection.
