Editorial: 24-hour Donate Life sit-in a success

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Once again this April, Life Connection of Ohio, conducted its annual 24-hour Donate Life Sit-In.  During this round-the-clock event, featured on WTOL 11 and Toledonewsnow.com, transplant recipients, donor family members, living donors and other supporters made sure the Green Chair did not go empty.

The purpose of this is to encourage people to register as organ and tissue donors.

There are more than 120,000 people on the National Transplant Waiting List, 3,500 from Ohio.  Another person is added to the waiting list every 10 minutes.

If you sign up for organ and tissue donation, your gift will enhance the lives of 8 organ recipients and 50 more people through tissue donation.  It is simple to become a donor.  Contact Life Connection of Ohio at 419.893.1618 for details.  You can be assured that someone, somewhere, will have his or her life changed by your generous and loving gift.
