An arrest has been made in the death of a woman who was found in a car back in mid-February.

Brandi Gonyer-Boaston, 28, was found in a running car that was parked in a Fulton County field on County Road N, between County Road 8 and State Route 109 in Royalton Township. She was reported missing a short time earlier.

Toledo police say she was murdered in the city of Toledo and taken to Fulton County, where hunters later found her. The coroner ruled the cause of death as asphyxiation.

On Thursday morning, police arrested Ronald Boaston, 41, for the murder in the 1100 block of Amanda Circle in Toledo.

"The family seemed to be pretty quiet and I don't think anyone else would have thought anything like this would have happened around this area," said neighbor Aaron Brown.

Brown says this tragedy has hit the neighborhood hard.

"I've talked to her on a couple of occasions and she was pretty nice, and he was pretty much in and out. We would wave, and that was pretty much it," said Brown.

According to Toledo police, Boaston is accused of purposely causing the death of his ex-wife. He Is being charged with murder.

"We were able to present enough evidence to the prosecutor and they agreed he should be placed under arrest for Brandi," explained Sgt. Joe Heffernan.

Boaston will be arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on Friday morning.

A memorial fund has been set up for Brandi Gonyer-Boaston. Donations can be made at any Huntington bank and will go toward funeral costs and care for her six children.
