CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Teams of employee choirs from ten area companies will compete Wednesday night in ArtsWave's first region-wide choir competition.

CincySings is hosted by former 98 Degrees member Drew Lachey and kicks off Wednesday evening at the Aronoff Center.

For several years, Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Cincinnati Children's Hospital have hosted sing-off events in support of ArtsWave. Melanie Healey, P&G North America group president and chair of the 2014 ArtsWave Community Campaign, suggested expanding the event to other top regional companies.

These companies hosted internal competitions and sent the winning choirs to compete in CincySings. The winners of the competition will receive a special prize package from ArtsWave and have the chance to sing the national anthem at the Cincinnati Reds game on April 14.

The ArtsWave organization supports more than 100 arts and cultural organizations with grants and services.

Details: 6:30 p.m. (pre-event crowds), 7-9 p.m. (show). Tickets $20 and benefit ArtsWave Community Campaign. Aronoff Center, 650 Walnut St., Downtown. www.theartswave.org.
