Ken Griffey, Sr. meets fans at Newport Kroger

NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -

Ken Griffey, Sr. spent a bit of time with the fans on Friday morning as he signed copies of his newest book.  

Griffey was at the Newport Kroger Marketplace from 10-11:30 a.m. to meet his fans. He was also promoting his new book titled "Big Red!"

"The book is just a little personal history on where I'm from and how I worked on Junior," Griffey told FOX19. "It's about some of the things that happened to me in New York, Cincinnati and Seattle."

Ken Griffey, Sr. was a member of the famed Big Red Machine. He currently serves as manager of the Bakersfield Blaze, a Single A minor league affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
