Creekwood resident busted on multiple drug-related charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office arrested a Creekwood resident Monday on multiple drug charges.

After a two-month investigation, officials carried out a search warrant at 705 Emory Street in the Creekwood community and arrested Charles Alexis Batts.

Batts is facing multiple drug-related charges including possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

    The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced Thursday that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Defiance County Friday evening.
