AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

Police have arrested Donavon L. Taylor, 25, from Auburn, on felony warrants after he allegedly stole credit card information from three victims in Auburn, and used the information to make purchases totaling over $4,000.

On Feb. 27, the manager of a business located in the 200 block of E. Glenn Ave. reported that their business credit card was used to make a purchase over $500 at another local business.

In March, two additional victims reported that their credit cards were being used to make purchases totaling over $3,500 at various businesses in the Auburn area.

All victims told police they were in actual possession of their credit cards during the times the fraudulent charges were made. The credit card number had been compromised and manipulated.

Investigation led police to Taylor as a suspect. Detectives obtained felony warrants charging him with three counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.

On March 26, police located Taylor in Montgomery. He was initially taken into custody on unrelated charges.

On April 1, Taylor was transported from Montgomery County Jail to the Lee County Detention Facility. He is currently being held on a $9,000 bond. However, police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
