Hazmat crews called to US Bank for reports of suspicious powder

QUEENSGATE, OH (FOX19) -

At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, Hazmat crews were been called to U.S. Bank on reports that a suspicious white powder fell from an envelope.

It happened in the 1400 block of Dalton Avenue. Employees were asked to evacuate the building.

Police say the employees reported a white powder inside an envelope opened at the center, which processes regional mail for US Bank.

About 20 emergency responders arrived at the center and removed the mail about twenty minutes after it was reported. No one was injured in this incident.

The envelope was taken to the regional FBl office for further testing.
