ANN ARBOR, MI (Toledo News Now) - On Wednesday, President Barack Obama will travel to the University of Michigan and deliver remarks on his proposal to raise the national minimum wage.
The scheduled visit is expected to rally support for Obama's call to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour. Michigan's current minimum wage is $7.40 and Ohio's is $7.95.
The speech is set to take place around 3 p.m. in UM's Intramural Sports Building. Tickets will be available for the public to attend.
