The Indians have agreed to terms with catcher Yan Gomes on a six year contract extension believed to be worth $23-million dollars. The deal is pending a physical and should be official in the next couple of days.
The deal is the largest ever pre-arbitration deal for a catcher, the previous record was held by Gomes' teammate, Carlos Santana.
Gomes hit .294 in 88 games last season.
