Two Toledo burglary suspects caught on camera

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Two burglary suspects are on the run tonight and Toledo Police are hoping you can help identify them. Police say part of the crime was caught on camera.

The apartment complex where it all happened is filled with video cameras. Footage from March 11 captured two people walking into the lobby, down the hall, and into the first apartment.

According to the police report the pair may have forced their way in, because when the man who lives there got home, the door handle was broken. Several electronics, cash, a safe and prescription pills were all missing.

The resident, Darryl Lyons, says he hopes you can help police find the thieves so they don't do the same thing to anyone else.

"What I would like to see from my heart honestly is giving everybody a second chance in life. I've been so graciously given a few too. I would like to see them get caught properly, and get the time, and to get the help they need," said Lyons.

Police found a metal tool on Lyon's porch that was not there before. They are working on getting fingerprints from it.

If you have any information that could lead police to these suspects, call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
