NCAA cruising detail closures

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Department has announced the following street closures due to the Sweet 16 basketball game between the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky.

The following streets will be CLOSED from Friday, March 28, 8 p.m. to Saturday, March 29, 2 a.m.

  • Brandeis Avenue from 3rd Street to 4th Street
  • Cardinal Blvd. from 3rd Street to 4th Street

The following streets will be CLOSED on Friday, March 28, Midnight to Saturday, March 29, 2 a.m.

  • 3rd Street at Bloom Street
  • 4th Street at Bloom Street
  • 4th Street at Industry Blvd.
  • 3rd Street at Eastern Parkway
  • Cardinal Blvd. at 2nd Street

The following streets may not be closed to traffic but could be affected by temporary traffic stoppages:

  • 4th Street Live and the surrounding area and adjacent streets
  • Broadway from 7th Street to 38th Street and adjacent side streets
  • Baxter Ave. & Broadway, South to Baxter Ave. & Highland Ave.
  • Baxter Ave. & Highland Ave., South to Bardstown Rd. & Grinstead Ave.
