Local drive-in movie theater damaged by November tornado makes plans for the future

(Toledo News Now) -

As we look forward to spring temperatures, we know severe weather could be on the horizon. Northwest Ohio has seen its fair share of severe weather in the past 6 months - not just snow and cold - but late season tornadoes.

The tornadoes of November 17th damaged homes and businesses in Perrysburg, Jerry City, Elmore and beyond. One of those damaged was the Sundance Kid Drive-In Theater on Navarre Road.

WTOL's Jenna Lee spoke with the manager at Sundance, who says they will begin to rebuild a new screen starting in May.

The good news is - business isn't on hold. There's one remaining screen that had no damage. Captain America will start showing there on April 4th.
