WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - After holding in the 40s to near 50 Tuesday, limited sunshine helped temperatures grow to the 50s Wednesday - and this warming trend should take us to the 60s and 70s for the end of the week!
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Expect partly cloudy skies. The rain chance will be near 0%, but given the recent damp weather, areas of fog may develop. Temperatures will likely bottom in the 40s amid light southwest breezes.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY: Spring officially arrives at 12:57 Thursday! Expect pleasant days with partly to mostly sunny skies, near-0% rain chances, light breezes, and highs in the 60s to locally lower 70s inland.
WEEKEND: Saturday will have partly sunny skies, warm southwest breezes, inland highs in the 70s, beach highs in the 60s, and a low (20%) shower chance. A cold front will bring a 40% shower chance for Sunday and also variable clouds and cooler highs in the 50s to lower 60s.
A PEEK INTO NEXT WEEK: Another shot of chilly weather is likely for the Monday-to-Wednesday period. Daytime temperatures will mainly be in the 40s and 50s with nights in the 30s. Shower chances may peak on Tuesday (40%) with a storm system in the area.
