Facebook posts from more than a year ago caused controversy at a west Toledo business Tuesday night. While a community group won't stand for the derogatory comments made, the business owners feel the group's outrage has crossed the line.  The posts from Twin Oak Lanes owner Jeff Kuhnle that were made in 2016 and 2017 are now haunting him. The posts use derogatory and racially insensitive comments about Muslims.  "First of all as a Muslim woman living in America ...

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Wide receiver Al Miller doesn't back down from the competition.

"I can be pretty aggressive," said Miller. "I can be intimidating."

He sounds like a typical aggressive football player, but Miller plays a different form of the game.

"I have spina bifida," he explained. "I have been wheelchair-bound my whole life."

But that's not stopping him from playing the sport he's always loved. Miller's a member of the Toledo Crash, a wheelchair football team that's been around for a decade.

"We have a variety of disabilities out here," said Dennis Mussery. "Some have cerebral palsy, some have polio, and some have spina bifida."

They've all come together as a team to play a sport they thought they'd never have a chance to play.

"This is their high school football," said Mussery. "This is their college football. It gives them an avenue to be competitive where they didn't have that before."

Now sure, there are some rule modifications, but when it comes down to it, it's football! And for Miller, that's exactly the way he wants it.

"To play for the Crash, it's been an awesome experience," said Miller. "It gets me out of the house; it's gotten me back into physical activity."

And most importantly, it's gotten him a chance to live out a dream.
