Sylvania man charged with sex crimes against minors

A 24-year-old Sylvania man is facing several charges after police say he used the Internet to make contact with underage women, then had sexual contact with them.

SYLVANIA, OH (Toledo News Now) - A 24-year-old Sylvania man is facing several charges after police say he used the Internet to make contact with underage women, then had sexual contact with them.

Police say Eric Snyder used websites including Craigslist and Facebook to contact women, four of whom were under 18. Police say Snyder set up dates with the girls, and physical sexual acts occurred between him and the minor.

Snyder was indicted on five counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of importuning by a Lucas County Grand Jury.

Snyder's address on Erie Street in Sylvania is less than half a mile from Highland Elementary.

Snyder could appear in court as early as next week.
