High waters causing headaches at Perrysburg mobile home park

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Highwaters are causing serious flooding in Perrysburg, and several streets at theVillage Green Mobile Home Park are underwater.

Residentssay this isn't the first time the community has flooded, but this is the worstit's ever been, and the weather is to blame.

"Thewater just kept coming, and it doesn't help none when the ditches are full. Thereis no place to put it," said Billie Jo Sanchez.

Apark van drives through the flood waters, taking residents to and from theirhomes. Those with cars say the water is above their tires. Many cars are frozenwhere they are parked.

Sanchezmanaged to move her vehicle, but now she says it won't start.

"Icefilled up into my car and it froze the alternator," she said. "Now I'm justtrying to get it to work."

Whileresidents say their homes have not flooded, the high water is still causingheadaches for them.

"Wehaven't gotten the mail in a few days because it gets really deep inside themailbox," said Joseph Smith.

Theysay they don't even want to think about what will happen with all the waterfreezes over.
